Self-compensating mechanical drive system.

Ensures uniform seed distribution by allowing the drive movement to occur continuously, maintaining consistent spacing between seeds even when planting across slopes and uneven terrain.

Built with rigid drive shafts connected by gearboxes, it guarantees secure rotation, with all internal components protected by seals that prevent the entry of straw and water.

The system requires no periodic lubrication and no tools for coupling or uncoupling, thanks to quick-release features.

This increases the planter’s efficiency, keeping it in planting condition for longer while reducing maintenance downtime.

SEMEATO has just announced a major technological breakthrough that transforms the concept of precision planting in the field.

The new feature is an electric transmission system coupled with the brand’s well-established vacuum seed distribution system.

This new technology enables fixed or variable-rate seeding, fully compatible with prescription farming maps, while also allowing row-by-row shutoff on headlands, sprayer tracks, and irrigation pivots. This feature prevents seed overlap, reducing waste and avoiding plant overpopulation.

Another highlight of the system is its automatic curve compensation, which adjusts seed distribution to maintain uniform plant population per square meter even along more complex field paths.

The innovation goes beyond mechanics and enters the digital agriculture space. The system allows communication among up to three machines operating simultaneously in the same field. Through real-time data exchange via internet connection or routers, the equipment shares live coverage map information, preventing one machine from planting areas that have already been covered by another.

This integrated digital ecosystem also enables real-time reporting and information exchange, providing more efficient operational management and helping farmers make decisions based on reliable and up-to-date data.

Another important differentiator is the capability of the SEMEATO vacuum seed distribution system to accurately plant challenging crops such as canola. Due to the extremely small size of canola seeds, this operation requires a highl evel of precision — something many conventional systems on the market are unable to deliver efficiently.
